The Guidester Guidelet is a plug-in that integrates seamlessly with leading eCommerce, search and analytics dashboards enabling our growing network of retail partners the ability to integrate relevant advertiser bids – via the HitList – into their overall merchandising strategy. With the Guidelet, retailers can weight the role that advertiser bids play in the rendering of their product searches. This gives complete control to the retailer who may opt to prioritize listings by inventory or margin, or turn up the weighting of advertiser bids to meet their merchandising and marketing goals.

The majority of the integration work has already been completed and tested. Working with a network of integrators and direct relationships, Guidester understands the capabilities, peculiarities and code of all leading solutions and will swiftly guide the final steps of integrating into each specific retailer’s environment. The Guidelet was designed to add one more lever to the retailer’s dashboard, and with that, to deliver the power of a significant and incremental line of revenue.

HitList

The Guidester HitList is the aggregate of all bids – at the SKU, group, product category or brand level – entered into AdMatch. The HitList is rendered differently for every retailer. It’s based on specific inventory as determined by matching a real-time datafeed. The HitList system is dynamic, so results vary in real-time as bids change.

Similar to the concept of paid search through leading search engines, the premise of HitList is just that - higher bids affect placement on retailer sites wherever a product list appears. The statistics are consistent -- wherever a search occurs, over 70% of all clicks occur within the first ten listings in a search. It’s no wonder marketers bid for placement. As a merchandising manager might aggregate bids for in-store merchandising in the physical world, HitList now does it for a network of retailers across the web.
