Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay in Sausalito, CA

I recently returned from my first long-awaited trip to San Francisco. My mom and I take a mother-daughter weekend trip every year – this was year 5! I was so excited to stroll a city I wanted to visit for so many years.

San Francisco is so many things. It is one of those cities (much like New York City) where you’ve seen it on TV and in movies about thousand times. The first view of the Golden Gate Bridge was like no other. I truly felt like a kid in a candy shop.

But one of my favorite stops was a place I had never heard of before our arrival: Sausalito. You know what they say, some of your favorite memories are unexpected.

Sausalito is a beautiful, dreamy bay-side town with gorgeous views of San Francisco. It sits just on the opposite side of The Bay in Marin County and is a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
